At Kerridge’s Bar & Grill the Senior Sommelier is responsible for managing all aspects of wine service. Working alongside the Sommelier team, the Senior Sommelier ensures the wine programme continuously evolves and aligns with the restaurant’s ethos, enriching the guest experience and guiding junior staff while overseeing the wine service team.
About the Role
- Deep wine knowledge, exceptional guest service skills and leadership are essential.
- The Senior Sommelier will assist in wine list development, wine procurement, inventory management and supplier relations, and will lead the wine service during service hours.
About You
- Experience as a wine waiter or sommelier, preferably within a 5‑star hotel or rosette restaurant.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to learn and develop a career in luxury hospitality.
- Good level of written and spoken English.
- Flexibility to work varied hours.
- Professional grooming and pride in appearance.
- Ability and resilience to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
