ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sales Manager, Asia Pacific is responsible for relationships and commercial development from clients/guests from the Asia Pacific region.
Proactive sales and reactive sales are required for all clients from this market/region including establishing and growing relationships with in-house guests.
The Sales Manager, Asia Pacific must maximise yield in alignment with the strategic goals of the sales department and the objectives of Corinthia Hotel London with the assistance of the Revenue Manager and Assistant Director of Sales.
Key activities include but are not limited to sales calls, sales trips, trade shows, networking events, site inspections, fam trips, client entertaining both in and outside of the hotel.
Appropriate social media usage and use of We Chat, What’s app.
The Sales Manager, Asia Pacific must have a knowledge and understanding of the culture and business practices of the Asia Pacific region, most importantly China in order to be able to work in the most impactful way and grow trust and longstanding relationships.
This role liaises closely with the Assistant Director of Sales and works together to create the strategy and action plan to grow and develop this market, working closely with Corinthia’s representative in the region (currently Heavens Portfolio) in order to maximise proactive sales activities and conversion of enquiries and work collaboratively as required to achieve the budgeted revenue from this segment.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience in Luxury Hotel Segment preferably in the UK with a strong commercial and cultural understanding of Asian business for the Luxury London hotel market
- Developed existing relationships with key bookers from the Asia Pacific region and ability to bring new business to Corinthia from existing network.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong desire to learn and develop a career within luxury hospitality
- Excellent level of written and spoken English
- Empathy and care for your guests and colleagues
- Ability to work under pressure and respond in an appropriate time to client requests.
- Resilience to work in a fast-paced environment
- Pride and attention to detail in your work
- Takes pride in own professional grooming
- Professional and engaging personality
- Confidence & professionalism when interacting with high profile guests
- Ability to travel extensively in the Asia Pacific region and/or. Globally as required for Sales trips and trade shows.
