About The Role

  • Responsible for day to day management, preparation and service of Bakery and Pastry, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times to the standards required by the hotel.
  • To ensure that strict hygiene controls are kept in all Kitchen areas when under Head Chef Pastry supervision.
  • To ensure the smooth running of the food operation including the maintenance and cleaning of the kitchen.

About You

  • Experience in a similar setting, or Michelin star restaurant.
  • Preferred previous head chef experience.
  • Must be able to temper chocolate.
  • Must be able to work clean and tidy and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent time management both of themselves and the team.
  • Demonstrates excellent skills and creativity in one or more aspects of patisserie, i.e. sugar, chocolate, plated desserts, Banqueting and/or afternoon tea.
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Food Hygiene Certificate, Food Safety Level 2.
  • Competition certificate or awards for cooking.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Artistic abilities.
  • Articulate and imaginative.
  • A flexible attitude to working hours.
  • Good communication skills.
