ABOUT THE ROLE
The Velvet Cocktail Waiter is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by expertly taking cocktail orders, serving beverages, and ensuring a seamless and efficient bar experience. This role requires a friendly, professional, and attentive individual who can engage confidently with guests, anticipate their needs, and create an atmosphere of comfort and satisfaction. Working closely with the bar team, the Velvet Cocktail Waiter is expected to ensure timely, accurate, and polished service at all times.
Please note that this position is based within the night bar at Corinthia London; therefore, applicants must be comfortable working mainly evenings and late night shifts.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in a cocktail waiter or similar role in a bar or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages is a plus.
- Experience in customer service and working in a fast-paced environment is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple drink orders at once in a busy environment.
- Positive and professional attitude with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Takes pride in personal grooming and presentation.
- Food safety and hygiene certification is a plus.
- Responsible alcohol service certification is desirable but not required.
- Previous training or certifications in health and safety regulations (e.g., fire safety, first aid) is an advantage but not essential.
