Role Purpose
The Buyer will play a key role in supporting procurement activities across selected categories, ensuring efficient supply, cost optimization, and supplier performance management within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for assigned categories (e. g., spare parts, consumables, or indirect materials).
- Run RFQs/tenders, evaluate supplier offers, negotiate terms, and award contracts in line with company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational needs.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Support the implementation of procurement strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage supplier contracts and ensure compliance with agreed terms and service levels.
- Contribute to spend analysis and reporting, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply issues proactively.
Qualifications
- Up to 7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field would be desirable.
- Experience with spare parts, consumables, or MRO categories will be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e. g., SAP MM) and strong knowledge of MS Office.
