We are a growing residential contractor delivering high-quality refurbishment, extension, and basement extension/conversion projects across London. Our projects range from bespoke refurbishments to complex structural and design-led residential works. As the company continues to grow, we are looking for an Assistant Project Manager who is organised, proactive, and motivated to develop within a fast-paced construction environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress their career within project management and gain hands-on experience across all stages of residential construction projects.
The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of multiple residential construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. The role requires someone who can take ownership of tasks, manage priorities efficiently, communicate confidently with site teams and consultants, and proactively help drive projects forward on a day-to-day basis. This is a hands-on role within a growing company where initiative, organisation, and proactive problem-solving are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting Project Managers with day-to-day project delivery
- Assisting the Project Manager in coordinating multiple ongoing residential projects
- Coordinating information between site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients
- Managing drawing registers, RFIs, trackers, and project documentation
- Assisting with programme management and tracking project milestones
- Supporting the Project Manager with site coordination and follow-up of outstanding actions
- Attending site visits and project meetings
- Preparing meeting minutes and following up outstanding actions
- Monitoring progress and proactively identifying potential issues
- Assisting with procurement coordination and material tracking
- Supporting quality control and snagging processes
- Helping ensure projects progress within programme and operational requirements
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to support Project Managers in coordinating multiple tasks and project activities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
