As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting all stages of our manufacturing processes — from documentation and test development to hands‑on problem solving on the shop floor. You will work closely with UK production teams and our Far East manufacturing partners, ensuring products are built efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in electronics and manufacturing who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and working collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide rapid technical support to in‑house production teams and subcontract manufacturers to minimise downtime and resolve non‑conformances.
  • Support PCBA and final assembly processes, including test setup, troubleshooting, and occasional test execution.
  • Assist with root‑cause analysis and structured problem‑solving (e.g., 8D, 5 Why’s).
  • Create and maintain build documentation, work instructions, and test specifications.
  • Maintain Bills of Materials (BoMs), concessions, permits, and product changes through the Change Request process.
  • Produce and update 2D and 3D drawings for manufacturing, tooling, and subcontract requirements.
  • Ensure team compliance with COSHH assessments and safety responsibilities.
  • Design and build tooling, jigs, fixtures, and equipment to support efficient production.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the department, supporting Lean initiatives such as 5S.
  • Contribute to the development of new manufacturing processes, test equipment, and test software.

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy hands‑on engineering, problem‑solving, and working in a fast‑paced production environment. You should be comfortable switching between documentation, process development, design work, and practical shop‑floor support.

Essential Skills & Experience
