Corin are looking for a Packaging and Labelling Engineer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring all packaging and labelling activities meet the required regulatory standards for medical devices. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong compliance mindset who enjoys ownership, technical challenge, and cross-functional collaboration.
What you’ll do
- Validating equipment used in the packaging and labelling of medical devices to the required regulatory standards
- Providing technical support and coordinating packaging and labelling activities for new products, including project management of validation, transit testing and shelf-life testing
- Writing and executing validation protocols, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ) and Process Validation, with hands-on testing and coordination of activities
- Creating and maintaining medical device labels and Packaging Bills of Materials (PBOMs)
- Managing and administering the label database and label management software
- Coordinating and managing requests for PBOM-related translations, including labels and Instructions for Use (IFUs)
- Owning packaging and labelling systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing enhanced processes and packaging solutions
- Working in compliance with cGMP requirements and industry best practice
- Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI/PCT) project requirements and communicating progress at team meetings
- Ensuring compliance with relevant packaging, labelling and validation standards, including: 21 CFR 820.75, ISO 13485, ASTM standards, ISO 19227, ISO 14644, ISO 11137, ISO 11135, ISO 11607
About You
- Practical experience within the medical device industry (preferred), with manufacturing environment experience being highly beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Confidence working within multi-disciplinary teams while managing multiple priorities effectively
