As we continue to work through the exciting growth plans across the business, we are also looking at the leadership roles within the organisation and how we can offer our employees the best support and direction within their business area. As a result, we are looking to hire a Global Supply Chain Lead based in Cirencester, who will help to strategically manage the global supply chain operations.

The key objective of the Global Supply Chain Lead is to ensure hip and knee implants and associated instruments are distributed to customers in a timely and efficient manner across the world. In this role, you will be responsible for continually assessing and improving resources and processes and establishing effective performance metrics to monitor the flow of goods in and out.

The key responsibilities of the Global Supply Chain Lead will include (but not be limited to):

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the supply chain leadership team to ensure that they are meeting departmental output requirements and drive improvements and efficiency, proposing tactical and strategic measures needed to support overall global brand objectives.
  • Manage Global Supply Chain long-term planning processes such as S&OE (Sales and Operations Execution).
  • Identify gaps in current supply chain processes and initiate activities to correct.
  • Collect and analyse data to measure the effectiveness of existing business processes to develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
  • Ensure optimum flow of material and information from the source of supply to end customer to meet customer requirements and business performance targets at the lowest cost.
  • Design and implement effective data management, analytics capabilities, and Supply Chain systems.
  • Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including, but not limited to senior leaders, functional peers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritise initiatives.
  • Have accountability for the finished goods and asset inventory Supply Planning, Global Distribution Centre and Local Distribution Centres' inventory and operational departments at Corin liaising with Regional Supply Chain leaders.
  • Identify and manage risk mitigation associated with all departments/areas.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of departments/areas, providing regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders (as required).
  • Manage top-line metrics around supply chain continuity, inventory and supply chain costs.
  • Partner with internal teams to support new product launches and product improvement initiatives.
  • Chair and participate in key meetings using Daily Management lean principles (e.g., daily operations meetings, monthly supply review, monthly supply point capability review, monthly and quarterly management business reviews).

The ideal Global Supply Chain Lead will ideally have:

  • Extensive supply chain experience within a complex, highly regulated, multi-business unit environment and managing global teams.
  • Experience in a global manufacturing environment (ideally orthopaedics) with experience of working in a multi-site and highly regulated industry.
  • Highly organised with excellent written and oral communication skills supported by good PC skills.
  • Strong and collaborative leadership skills to help maintain an engaged and high performing team in all locations.
  • Good interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, flexible and able to deal with conflicting priorities.
  • APICS or similar supply chain-related accreditation preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant supply chain regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent planning and organisational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Strong ability to lead in a cross-functional / matrix management environment.
  • Proven ability to formulate, plan, direct, and maintain long and short-term goals.
  • Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors.
