Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse & Logistics Night Shift Manager to join our Global Supply Chain team. In this role, you'll lead the Warehouse, Logistics and Shipping teams, ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials and finished products across the business. You'll be responsible for driving operational performance, inventory accuracy, compliance, team development and continuous improvement, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Working closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Services and Finance, you'll play a key role in ensuring products are stored, managed and distributed effectively to support business and customer requirements.
As a Warehouse & Logistics Shift Manager you will be:
- Leading and developing Warehouse, Logistics and Shipping teams across the night shift.
- Managing staffing levels, attendance, rotas and resource planning to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Creating a flexible and multi-skilled workforce through effective training and development.
- Setting objectives, coaching team members and driving individual and team performance.
- Monitoring and analysing operational data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Developing and reporting on KPIs to drive performance, control costs and support departmental budgets.
- Managing stock control activities including stock takes, inventory accuracy and stock rotation.
- Building strong working relationships with logistics providers and key internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring shipping processes remain compliant with relevant regulations and legislation.
- Driving a strong health and safety culture, including near-miss reporting and risk reduction activities.
- Leading warehouse improvement projects and supporting cross-functional business initiatives.
- Promoting and sustaining 5S principles to maintain an organised, efficient and safe working environment.
- Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), GMP and company procedures.
The ideal Warehouse & Logistics Shift Manager will have/be:
- Extensive experience in a warehouse, logistics, supply chain or distribution management role.
- Proven people management experience leading teams of 10+ employees within a fast-paced operational environment.
- A strong, engaging and motivating leadership style with the ability to drive high performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
- Strong IT literacy and confidence using operational data to drive business decisions.
- Experience managing KPIs, workforce planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Ability to develop teams, manage performance and create a culture of accountability and engagement.
- Ideally completed, or working towards, a recognised leadership qualification such as ILM.
- Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
