We are seeking Graduate level driven NPI Product Design Engineers to join our team. This role is responsible for designing medical implants and instrumentation across the Corin product portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and global regulatory standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Design medical and mechanical devices, ideally orthopaedic implants and instrumentation, using CAD, FEA, and PLM software.
  • Develop concept and detailed designs, contributing to brainstorming and problem‑solving activities.
  • Generate full design packages to support transfer to production, collaborating with Production and Quality teams.
  • Create, maintain, and manage design documentation including manufacturing drawings, process sheets, and inspection documentation.
  • Produce and maintain design control, risk management documentation, and technical reports in line with internal procedures and quality standards.
  • Support bioengineering activities by providing biomechanical expertise.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliant product introduction.
  • Manage design issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Lead or contribute to key aspects of design and CAPA projects.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and improvements of existing product systems.
  • Present key project updates to stakeholders, including customers where required.

About You:

  • Degree (BEng/BSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in medical device design or other highly regulated industries is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of design processes, ideally within orthopaedics.
  • High level of computer literacy, including design software.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and keen to take ownership of work.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a “can‑do” attitude with the ability to think creatively.
