- Earlies: 5:30am–2:00pm Monday–Thursday, 5:30am–11:00am Friday

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for Cleanroom/Packaging Shift Managers to join our growing leadership team. In this role, you'll lead a cleanroom and packaging manufacturing team to deliver production targets safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll oversee day-to-day operations, resource planning, people management, training, performance, and continuous improvement activities, while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful manufacture of orthopaedic implants and instrumentation, driving performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and People (SQDIP) metrics.
As a Cleanroom and Packaging Shift Manager you will:
- Lead and develop a team of up to 25 operatives within a highly regulated cleanroom and packaging environment.
- Drive a culture of Right First Time (RFT), quality excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Organise daily and weekly shift activities to deliver manufacturing plans and customer requirements.
- Manage resource allocation, schedule adherence and labour planning to maximise productivity.
- Lead Shift Start-Up meetings, shift handovers, quality discussions and performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and cleanroom operating standards.
- Investigate production and quality issues using structured problem-solving techniques, including 8D methodologies.
- Drive 5S standards, Kaizen initiatives and team engagement in continuous improvement activities.
- Build strong relationships with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain and HR teams.
- Support employee development through coaching, training plans, one-to-one meetings and performance appraisals.
The ideal Cleanroom and Packaging Shift Manager will have/be:
- Demonstrable experience as a strong, engaging, and driven people manager within a manufacturing environment, with responsibility for managing 10-25 operatives.
- Strong communication, delegation, coaching and mentoring skills.
- Understanding of cleanroom facilities and their operation.
- Experience working within quality-focused and highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and HR teams.
- Experience driving performance through structured communication and accountability.
- Positive, collaborative, organised, and proactive "can do" approach to work.
- Completed or currently working towards a recognised leadership qualification such as ILM Level 5.
