We are looking for a Trainee Supply Chain Buyer to join our team in Cirencester on a permanent full-time basis. This role offers an opportunity to learn how to effectively manage supply and demand within the global supply chain for implants and instruments across Corin Group. You will receive support and training to develop into a Buyer/Planner.
Responsibilities include:
- Placing and raising purchase orders, ensuring acknowledgment and highlighting risks to supply.
- Maintaining accurate open purchase order reports and addressing issues with relevant Buyer Planners.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to confirm production and shipping schedules.
- Monitoring open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Reporting product and material availability issues proactively.
- Coordinating inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials and components with program management teams.
- Analyzing and coordinating MRP data, source lists, and material master parameters.
- Reviewing MRP messages to ensure supply schedules meet production needs and safety stock levels.
- Supporting inventory management, reporting, and parameter setting.
- Managing purchase order status, RFQs, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Coordinating WIP with subcontract suppliers.
- Collaborating with manufacturing teams for efficient material planning.
- Assisting in developing KPIs to monitor and improve performance.
- Managing stock levels in the consumable warehouse (Sage warehouse 30).
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a supply chain environment (preferred).
- Experience with Sage software.
- The ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term goals.
- Adaptability to a growing and changing environment.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good planning, organizational, and communication skills.
