We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance team. This is a newly created role designed for someone who is eager to grow and develop within a supportive engineering environment. You will gain hands‑on experience maintaining plant equipment, site facilities, and buildings, ensuring maximum operational productivity while adhering to strict health and safety standards. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for both electrical and mechanical engineering who is ready to put their knowledge into practice.

What you’ll do:

  • Work in line with Corin’s Health & Safety procedures at all times
  • Assist and liaise with production teams to ensure equipment availability
  • Develop maintenance skills to ensure equipment meets supplier specifications
  • Support building maintenance activities to ensure structural integrity and identify potential issues
  • Learn and carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, progressing towards independence
  • Conduct PAT testing on equipment
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and accurate documentation
  • Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) standards, including ISO13485 and GMP (FDA 21 CFR Part 820)
  • Support Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) processes in line with SOPs and company objectives

About You:

  • An engineering qualification and/or a technical, hands‑on background in electrical and mechanical systems
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop within a maintenance environment
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude with a hands‑on approach
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • A good standard of education (GCSE Grade C/4 or above), with the ability to interpret technical instructions
