We are recruiting a Supply Chain Co-ordinator – Instruments to strategically manage the supply and inventory for Instruments whilst working directly with members of the global and local teams to keep everyone informed of plans and status of supply.
The responsibilities of the Supply Chain Co-ordinator - Instruments include:
- Execute supply strategies on instrument sets in forecast working closely with the Supply Chain manager, SRM, Buyer/Planners, SIOP and LDC supply chain teams on all global sets supply.
- Communicate and manage the demands on manufacturing and key suppliers to deliver good supply schedules to market working with the Buyer/Planners and Supplier account managers.
- Support and improve the product flow and visibility with operational planning processes.
- Monitor throughput for unit 8 manufacturing of instruments working closely with the manufacturing team, planners and kit build team.
- Perform data analysis to plan and prioritize supply and ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Monitor and report on KPI performance from internal and external suppliers, utilising these to drive improved deliverables from suppliers working closely with the Supplier account managers.
- Proactively predict and report product availability issues short and midterm, developing recovery plans and clearly communicate the status to our business partners.
- Review and analyse MRP messages, PO recommendations, WIP and open purchase orders for instruments to ensure secure supply against demand.
- Drive & improve supply KPI’s centrally to improve delivery & service to our customers.
- Coordinate inventory planning, reporting and management within the GDC and LDCs.
- Work closely with SIOP on monitoring inventory stocking level efficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Support all NPI and obsolescence projects from a supply chain team perspective.
- Work with the Supplier account managers on supplier pricing, EOQs and leadtime efficiencies.
- Complete special supply chain projects and assignments as requested.
The ideal Supply Chain Co-ordinator – Instruments will have/be:
- Experience in using planning systems (including MRP) and an understanding of how to optimize systems.
- Proven ability of building relationships with internal and external customers.
- Excellent continuous improvement skills and successful problem-solving procedures.
- Excellent ability in building relationships at all levels.
- Commercial sensitivity, business acumen and judgment skills.
- The ability to balance short term priorities but able to work towards the long-term supply chain objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent planning, organizing and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to use own initiative.
