This is an opportunity to join a fantastic medtech company with an exciting product portfolio and project pipeline during a phase of rapid expansion. This Project Manager role is ideally suited for a candidate who has a few years of industry experience and is seeking their next role to advance their career to a project management position.

The ideal candidate will be from a technical background, preferably with a few years of experience in a technical role such as medical device design and development with project management responsibility, ideally within the medical device sector or other highly regulated industry. A degree in a relevant discipline such as Medical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design is preferred, but equivalent industry experience is also welcome.

This role includes project and product ownership, scenario and project planning, budgeting, cross‑functional team leadership, technical troubleshooting and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with working knowledge of GMP. Knowledge of the applicable ISO standards and regulatory pathway to achieve product clearance in USA, Australia and Europe would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define project scope and deliverables with customers.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans and resources.
  • Coordinate design reviews and cross‑functional activities.
  • Identify risks and drive effective solutions.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operational aspects of the project(s) through project teams.
  • Manage Stage‑Gate processes across R&D, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Regulatory.
  • Track progress, report updates, and ensure compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and FDA 21 CFR 820.
  • Ensure product quality and successful project delivery.
About You
  • APM or Prince would be desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of orthopaedic or medical device engineering.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Identify and analyse problems.
  • Think creatively and critically.
  • Confident creating technical reports and presentations.
  • Flexibility is key for this role.
