Due to continued growth, we're expanding our Goods Inwards Inspection Team and are looking for experienced Quality Inspectors to help ensure our products meet the highest standards before being shipped across the globe.
This role is ideal for experienced quality professionals who have worked within a regulated manufacturing environment and has expertise in Goods Inwards Inspection.
You'll play a key role in ensuring product conformity, supporting product release activities and maintaining the high standards expected within the medical device industry.
You'll be responsible for inspecting raw material, semi-finished products and surgical instrumentation while interpreting technical drawings and specifications, using a range of metrology equipment and gauges, and supporting continuous improvement within the Quality function.

As an Experienced Quality Inspector, you will
- Inspect raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products against approved specifications.
- Conduct Goods Inwards Inspection.
- Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings to verify product conformity.
- Apply knowledge of geometric tolerances (GD&T) during inspection activities.
- Use a range of gauges, measuring equipment and metrology tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Operate inspection equipment such as CMMs, Keyence systems, shadowgraphs, callipers, micrometres and other precision measuring equipment.
- Identify, investigate, and disposition non-conforming products.
- Maintain accurate quality records and ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDoc P).
- Record inspection data and quality information within company systems.
- Support calibration activities and ensure inspection equipment remains fit for use.
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve quality issues and support product release activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a "right first time" culture.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 13485, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal Experienced Quality Inspector will have/be
- Previous Quality Inspection experience within a regulated manufacturing environment, such as medical devices, aerospace, automotive or precision engineering.
- Proven experience in Goods Inwards Inspection.
- Experience inspecting semi-finished and finished products against technical specifications.
- The ability to confidently read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
- A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience using a variety of gauges and precision measurement equipment, including callipers, micrometres, height gauges, plug gauges, thread gauges and similar inspection tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and a highly accurate, methodical approach.
- The ability to interpret specifications and make informed decisions regarding product conformity.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
