Overview
Are you looking to kickstart your career in finance? Weβre looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our Manufacturing & Operations Accounting team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic entry-level role where what matters most is your positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to get things done.
Youβll play a key role in supporting the team with monthly financial reporting, inventory control, and operational accounting activities. With hands-on experience and structured support, this role offers excellent development.
The role offers a hybrid working model, with a minimum of 2 days based in our Global HQ in Cirencester and are open to considering both full time and part time working hours.
The purpose of this role is to support all accounting and monthly financial reporting relating to manufacturing operations and European subsidiary inventory. This includes the preparation of inventory lists and balance sheet reconciliations.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant (FTC) include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare monthly inventory listings for European subsidiary countries ensuring reconciliation to TB.
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register\\\βs in European subsidiary countries
- Support in the preparation of global inventory reporting on a monthly basis.
- Support in calculation of global stock provision.
- Maintain subsidiary supplier price lists & standard costs, to be aligned with UK transfer pricing.
- Perform monthly close activities, including closing ledgers in ERP system and refreshing reports
- Take full ownership of a shared email inbox, ensuring it is monitored and maintained daily. Respond promptly and professionally to incoming messages, providing accurate information or assistance as required. Identify and escalate urgent or complex issues to the appropriate team members or departments in a timely manner.
- Support in annual audit at a group level, including delivery of information for group and local statutory disclosures.
- Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as and when required
Skills and Experience
- Experience working with large complex excel spreadsheets
- Highly numerate and diligent individual with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization
