Overview
We are looking for an experienced Workday Manager to play a pivotal role in the continued rollout and optimisation of Workday HCM across the EMEA region.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile transformation programme, working closely with HR, Technology, Finance, and business stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class Workday experience across multiple countries.
As a Workday expert, you will bring a broad understanding of the Workday HCM ecosystem, combining subject matter expertise with implementation experience gained through global or multi-country deployments.
You will act as a trusted SME, helping to drive adoption, ensure system integrity, and support the delivery of new functionality as Workday continues to evolve across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, rollout, and optimisation of Workday across EMEA.
- Support M&A’s by driving system onboarding of new countries and entitles into Workday HCM, integrating with payroll and Workday financials.
- Manage a HR Systems Analyst to support HR systems and analytics.
- Design a M&A systems playbook to onboard new companies into our existing Workday ecosystem, and expansion into new countries.
- Oversee configuration and maintain Workday modules, business processes, security, and reporting capabilities in partnership with our North American Workday HCM COE.
- Partner with global HR, HRIS, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
- Support the design and execution of new Workday functionality, enhancements, and releases.
- Ensure system configuration aligns with global standards while accommodating local and regional business requirements.
- Provide expertise across core Workday functionality, including HCM and associated modules.
- Collaborate with implementation partners and internal project teams during deployment phases.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to maximise Workday capabilities.
- Support testing activities, including system integration testing, UAT, and post-deployment validation.
- Ensure maintenance of system documentation, configuration workbooks, and operational procedures.
- Act as a key point of contact for Workday-related escalations and complex issue resolution.
- Stay informed of Workday releases and recommend enhancements that improve user experience and business outcomes.
- Required Experience
- Proven experience supporting and configuring Workday in a complex, international organisation.
- Hands-on experience participating in at least one full-cycle Workday implementation or large-scale Workday deployment.
- Strong Workday configuration experience across core HCM, business processes, security, and organisational structures.
- Experience working in global environments with an understanding of multi-country HR processes and governance.
- Knowledge of Workday architecture, data structures, and system design best practices.
- Experience supporting stakeholders across multiple regions and functions.
- Strong understanding of change management and adoption within large transformation programmes.
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyse business requirements, and recommend effective Workday solutions.
- Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting Workday rollouts across EMEA countries.
- Exposure to additional Workday modules such as Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Absence, or Time Tracking.
- Experience working with Workday integrations, reporting, and analytics.
- Workday certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience partnering with third-party implementation consultancies and system integrators.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across global teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
