Role Overview
The Business Manager EMEA Tech M&A and Integration plays a key role in shaping and delivering technology integration across EMEA transformation and M&A initiatives.
Working in partnership with the Technology Integration Lead, the role will take end-to-end ownership of a significant technology integration workstream, depending on portfolio priorities.
The role will help define the integration approach, translate business and deal objectives into technology outcomes, and bring together the right stakeholders to make effective decisions and deliver sustainable change.
This is a broad integration role requiring strategic judgement, technology understanding and strong delivery leadership.
The role will operate across organisational boundaries, challenge existing approaches where appropriate, and ensure that integration decisions balance business value, user experience, risk, cost and long-term technology strategy.
The role will also flex across governance, financial management, M&A coordination and other areas of the integration portfolio as business priorities evolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Integration Strategy and Workstream Ownership
- Take end-to-end ownership of an assigned technology integration workstream, depending on portfolio priorities and business needs.
- Shape the workstream strategy and integration approach, aligning business objectives, deal commitments and regional requirements with the wider technology strategy.
- Assess integration options and trade-offs, considering business value, risk, cost, complexity, user impact and long-term sustainability.
- Bring together technology, business, operations, architecture and external partners to establish a shared direction and drive delivery.
- Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve ambiguity, challenge assumptions and secure timely decisions.
- Ensure that architecture, security, operational and business requirements are considered throughout the integration lifecycle.
- Own delivery of the agreed workstream outcomes from planning through implementation, transition and closure.
- Identify emerging risks, constraints and opportunities, recommending appropriate interventions to the Technology Integration Lead.
- Flex across adjacent workstreams where broader portfolio alignment or additional leadership is required.
- Integration Governance and Ways of Working
- Support the Technology Integration Lead in establishing effective governance across the EMEA Technology Integration portfolio.
- Ensure governance enables timely decisions, clear accountability and alignment across regional and global stakeholders.
- Coordinate strategic input and recommendations for the governance bodies such as the TDA.
- Develop clear executive materials that articulate progress, business impact, key risks, options and decisions required.
- Maintain an integrated view of portfolio priorities, milestones, critical dependencies and emerging risks.
- Support demand prioritisation and capacity decisions across the integration portfolio.
- Ensure material issues are escalated with clear context, impact assessment and recommended actions.
- Maintain appropriate decision records, integration standards, playbooks and runbooks.
- Capture lessons learned and use them to strengthen the integration operating model and improve future execution.
- Promote consistent and effective ways of working across technology integration teams
- Value, Financial and Commercial Management
- Support development of the financial and value case for the global tech org.
- Ensure technology investment decisions are aligned with integration priorities, expected benefits and strategic outcomes.
- Monitor integration costs, forecasts, financial commitments and technology synergy delivery.
- Identify opportunities to simplify the technology landscape, reduce duplication and improve operating efficiency.
- Evaluate the financial and operational implications of key integration decisions.
- Coordinate vendor contract renewals, transfers, exits and other commercial dependencies arising from integration activity.
- Maintain visibility of vendor commitments, commercial risks and potential constraints to delivery.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, technology owners and vendors to resolve financial and commercial issues.
- Escalate material budget, synergy or commercial risks with clear options and recommendations.
- Support the Technology Integration Lead in shaping the technology approach for EMEA M&A activity.
- Take ownership of assigned activities across technology due diligence, pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness and post-close integration.
- Assess technology due diligence findings to identify integration implications, risks, investment requirements and potential value opportunities.
- Translate deal assumptions and due diligence recommendations into practical technology strategies and integration roadmaps.
- Mobilise the appropriate technology teams and establish clear ownership of integration outcomes.
- Ensure that Day 1 decisions balance business continuity, employee experience, security, risk and longer-term integration objectives.
- Support preparation of technology due diligence binders, strategic recommendations, investment cases and executive presentations.
- Maintain a clear view of key findings, risks, costs, dependencies, decisions and integration commitments.
- Partner with the central M&A team, US M&A Technology team and other corporate functions to ensure alignment across the transaction lifecycle.
- Ensure a structured transition from due diligence into integration execution, with clear priorities, assumptions and accountabilities

Skills, Requirements and Qualifications
Experience
- 6-8 years of progressive experience driving technology operations, strategy, and transformation, preferably in M&A context / from a consulting and Technology background
- Hands-on experience running complex cross-functional initiatives from end to end, with strong delivery discipline.
- Experience translating business objectives into technology strategies, roadmaps and measurable outcomes
- Strong understanding of technology platforms and operating model, and the ability to operate across a broad technology landscape
- Ability to identify the wider business, operational, financial and technology implications of integration decisions.
- Understanding and having worked through the M&A technology lifecycle, including due diligence, pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness and post-close integration.
- Exposure to budgeting, vendor management, or large-scale integration is a plus.
- Strong strategic and critical thinking, execution bias, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and imperfect information; comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-growth environment
