About Corgi
Corgi is an AI-powered insurance company designed for tech startups. The company has raised $108M and holds regulatory approval as a licensed carrier. Corgi’s platform is built on Django, utilizes Stripe for payments, and features AI-driven underwriting. The company is currently scaling operations into the UK and EU.
The Role
Corgi is seeking a Fast Engineer in London. This position is for builders who ship products, not architects who only plan. The ideal candidate is someone who has independently built and shipped projects, demonstrating the ability to take an idea from inception to live deployment.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience building and shipping projects independently, with real users, real traffic, or a high level of polish.
- Ability to work quickly, measuring progress in hours and days rather than sprints and quarters.
- Comfortable working across the technology stack and willing to tackle any problem as needed.
- Strong opinions that are weakly held; able to push back on bad ideas and adapt when presented with better solutions.
- Low ego and genuine hunger to build and improve, beyond just stating ambition.
How We Work
- Prioritize making decisions today over waiting for perfect answers next week.
- Ship new products and process changes regularly, not just quarterly.
- Default to a ship-and-iterate approach rather than review-and-stall.
- Maintain high intensity during product pushes, with no significant drop during quieter periods.
- Operate with a public-first mindset; decisions are not made in private messages.
- Encourage internal competition, with strong performers raising the standard for everyone.
This is a build-focused role, not a position for those seeking to coast.
Behaviors That Lead to Removal
- Engaging in politicking, dodging blame, or gossip.
- Treating direct feedback as a personal attack.
- Adding unnecessary overhead instead of streamlining processes.
- Failing to follow through promptly after committing to deadlines.
How to Apply
Send links to your work, not CVs. Examples include:
- GitHub
- Personal website

- Anything you have built and shipped
Applications should be sent to: sergio@corgi.com
Note: If you have not shipped anything you can show, this is not the right position for you.
Location
London-based. On-site or hybrid options available.
Compensation
£75,000 to £140,000 base salary plus equity. The wide salary band reflects a focus on shipping ability rather than job title.
