BH Live is recruiting for Casual Health and Fitness Advisors to join our team at BH Live Active – Corfe Mullen, in East Dorset. It is a lively community hub, with high-quality fitness facilities for all. The gym has two levels, each with a lift, access to a cardio zone, free weights, resistance machines for strength and toning and functional fitness areas. There’s a packed programme of group exercise classes running seven days a week, including Les Mills™ BodyPump, BodyJam, BodyCombat, Legs Bums and Tums, Sprint, Dance, Bootcamp, Health circuits, HIIT classes, yoga, Pilates, Core, Zumba and more. A dedicated group cycle studio offers daily classes. The centre is a winner of Sporta’s Impact of New Facility award and was a Newcomer of the Year finalist in UK Active’s National Fitness Awards.
You will:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the gym and ensure the provision of a first-class facility.
- Instruct and provide advice to customers on safe usage.
- Design, implement and promote gym-floor classes, workouts, gym challenges, events and further services.
- Provide fitness advice and training programmes for customers.
- Promote and provide a positive experience to all users of the centre.
- Assume duties at other sites and departments if needed.
You will need:
- A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- A Level 2 Gym Instructor Qualification is essential.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive team player.
- Previous experience of working within the leisure industry is ideal.
- A Level 3 Gym Instructor Qualification is desirable.
Due to the nature of our business, hours of work will include weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
