What You'll Do
The Data Centre Technician ensures overall availability and reliability of data centre operations, performing hardware and network diagnostics, physical repair, and maintenance to meet defined service levels.
Responsibilities include root cause analysis of failures, training internal teams, and developing documentation or scripts for server and networking hardware.
The role requires rapid response to on‑site equipment failures within 60 minutes and periodic travel up to 10% of the time.
Qualifications
- Computer Hardware experience, including troubleshooting and assembling.
- Linux Operating System experience.
- Ability to transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate in cramped or elevated spaces.
- Technical fine‑motor skill for handling small components and cables.
- Flexible schedule and willingness for a rotating 24/7 on‑call shift.
- Excellent time‑management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Physical endurance in temperatures ranging from 60°F to 90°F.
- Preferred Qualifications
