CoreWeave’s Data Centre Operations team manages the cloud infrastructure. The Data Centre Technician ensures overall availability and reliability of the Glasgow data centre, performing hardware and network diagnostics, repairs, root‑cause analysis, training, and documentation. The role is 100% on‑site, requires a 60‑minute response to failures during on‑call, and may require up to 10% travel to other locations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hardware and network diagnostics and repairs on servers and networking equipment.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis of failures and develop documentation or scripts to update hardware.
  • Train internal teams on maintenance procedures.
  • Respond to on‑site equipment failures within 60 minutes during scheduled on‑call.
  • Maintain consistent service availability and uphold defined service levels.

Requirements

  • Computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and assembling.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to transport and position equipment up to 50 lbs and work in cramped or elevated spaces.
  • Fine‑motor skills for handling small components and cables.
  • Flexible 24/7 schedule including rotating on‑call shifts.
  • Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in temperature ranges of 60°F–90°F.

Preferred

  • Computer networking experience.
  • Knowledge of Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent IT‑related experience.
