A well-established Banbury manufacturer is looking for a Machine Operator to join their production team. You will be operating workshop machinery including bending machines, bandsaws and drills, working to drawings and job specifications. You will also hold a full driving licence and take the company van out to deliver finished work to customers and between sites, so the job has variety rather than the same bench all day. It starts as a temporary assignment and can go permanent after 13 weeks.
What you will do Operate workshop machinery including bending machines, bandsaws and pillar drills Work to drawings and job specifications, checking your own work as you go Load, secure and deliver finished products using the company van Handle goods in and out and support the wider production team Keep your work area and the van clean, safe and tidy
What you will bring Hands-on experience operating workshop or production machinery A full UK driving licence and confidence driving a van, as deliveries are a regular part of the job The ability to work from drawings and job cards Accuracy and care. This is finished product going out to customers Reliability. It is a close-knit team and people notice when you turn up and get on with it Commutable to Banbury for a fully on-site role
What is on offer £27,000 to £28,000 per year once permanent, with the equivalent hourly rate of £12.82 to £13.29 while temporary Monday to Thursday, 7am to 4.30pm. Friday, 7am to 2pm Early finish every Friday and no weekends A possibility of permanent contract after 13 weeks with a stable, established manufacturer
