Got CAM programming experience on Radan? We're recruiting a CAM Programmer to join a well-established sheet metal fabrication team.
About the role and employer:
Our client is a leading British manufacturer of bespoke commercial catering equipment and ventilation products, with all equipment built around stainless steel fabrication. This is an office-based role reporting directly to the Operations Director, producing flat pattern programs for an Amada AE 2510 punch machine using Radan software, converting 2D and 3D designs into production-ready programs for both bespoke and standard products.
What you'll do:
- Program, nest and tool flat pattern parts in the most effective and economic way, using Radan
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to translate designs into accurate programs
- Work to production timescales and agreed deadlines
- Check your own work thoroughly before issuing to manufacture
- Report any defects or issues directly to your line manager
What you'll bring:
- Essential: proven experience of Radan programming, nesting and tooling
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and sheet utilisation
- Experience with Amada punch layouts is a distinct advantage
- A good understanding of engineering drawings
- A flexible, quality-driven approach, able to work independently and as part of a team
What's on offer:
- £29,000 to £34,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience
- Full time, permanent contract
- 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank/public holidays)
