Job Description
An opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded Finance Manager to join a group company based in North Yorkshire.The CompanyAn established privately owned business.The RoleReporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will lead a team responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, cash flow management, and project performance analysis. This is a key role supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring strong financial controls across multiple entities.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high standards of financial management and reporting.Preparation of monthly management accounts, job costing reports, and group consolidations.Monitor project profitability and work-in-progress (WIP), supporting contract and site managers with financial insights.Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital to meet the operational needs of the business.Support the Finance Director with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.Ensure compliance with industry regulations, CIS (Construction Industry Scheme), VAT, and statutory requirements.Payroll preparation.Assist in systems development and process improvements to support business growth and efficiency as required.Experience RequiredFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Previous experience in the construction or contracting sector is useful.Organised and personable.Solid understanding of job costing, WIP accounting, and CIS compliance.Excellent communication, analytical, and IT skills (including advanced Excel).RemunerationCompetitive.This is a permanent position and Corepeople Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.By applying for this job you accept the T&Cs, Privacy Policy and Disclaimers which can be found on our website.
