Company
As part of established Preferred Supplier arrangements, Corepeople Recruitment Ltd is managing opportunities within the North East region for with tier one and tier two building contractors. These organisations are well established, professional organisations which each operate across a variety of building projects with contracts spread throughout health, education, leisure, retail and commercial sectors.
Role
Design Managers are responsible for controlling the flow of information between external design consultants in architecture, civil, structural and building services design, and the project delivery teams of both the main contractor and subcontractor.
Managing design changes and alterations, having an input on buildability and value engineering, and ensuring delivery to meet project timeframes and budget, requires a high level of design understanding, practical understanding, organisation skills, and excellent communication capabilities.
Typically this role is positioned between site and the office, with flexibility to work from home when necessary.
Experience Required
Applications are sought from experienced Design Managers who have worked within main contractor environments, as well as from architectural technologists and civil/structural engineers who have developed project management skills within a consultancy setting but are keen to find further progression and career opportunities by moving to a main contractor environment.
Applicants must demonstrate;

Remuneration
Salaries are negotiable, starting at £40,000 and up to £72,000 depending on experience. A company car or car allowance, pension scheme, healthcare scheme are additional benefits.
