Our Sport Hallam coaches are responsible for developing skills, performance and overall physical and mental wellbeing of our student athletes, teams and club members. Using your experience and expertise, you will plan and provide personalised coaching and, through effective communication, help guide our students to achieve their full potential. As a Sport Hallam coach, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and supporting environment in line with the Sport Hallam values for our student participants and help shape goals and contribute to continuous improvement. You will also ensure our students adhere to best practice, sportsmanship, safety and discipline in relation to their specific sport and activity, promoting individual growth and team cohesion.

Responsibilities

  • Nurture a culture of respect, resilience and a love for the sport.
  • Plan and lead effective training sessions and prepare student athletes for competition.
  • Attend competition/games days to support with student-athletes performance.
  • Cultivate a positive team culture built on discipline, respect, and sportsmanship.
  • Provide coaching expertise to improve the quality and standard of training and development.

You will be contractually enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) one of the largest and most generous defined benefit pension schemes in the country. If you are, or have been, a recent member of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) directly prior to joining us, you can choose to opt out of the LGPS and remain in the USS.
