These Internships are open to recent Sheffield Hallam University graduates or those completing their studies by July 2026 only. The roles will be based in the School and College Engagement (Outreach), Student Recruitment Marketing, Corporate Marketing or Events Teams within Recruitment, Communications and Marketing. You will play an integral part in the delivery of core business activity.
Each role will play a key role in service delivery and will provide you with an opportunity to work on individual and joint projects, gaining valuable experience in how the service contributes to the University strategy. This offers a great opportunity to build on the skills and attributes you have already acquired during your time here as a student. You will enhance and develop strong communication and administrative skills, equipping you to embark on your career.
You will be contractually enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), one of the largest and most generous defined benefit pension schemes in the country. If you are, or have been, a recent member of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) directly prior to joining us, you can choose to opt out of the LGPS and remain in the USS. Please contact the Pensions team to discuss options available.
If you are offered the post in the School and Colleges Engagement (Outreach) team you will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from working at Sheffield Hallam University but its relevance to the duties of the post will need to be assessed before the appointment is confirmed.
