We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Catering and Hospitality Supervisor to join our busy university catering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver high-quality food and hospitality services across our cafés, restaurants, retail outlets, and event spaces.
No two days are the same.
From supervising busy lunchtime service to supporting conferences, and VIP events, you'llplay a key role in ensuring every customer receives an exceptional experience.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Supervising the day-to-day internaland externalhospitalitycatering.
- Leading, motivating, and supporting a team to deliver excellent customer service.
- Ensuring high standardsof food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and customer care.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of conferences, meetings, andspecial events.
- Monitoring stock levels, reducing waste, and maintaining efficient operations.
- Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety, allergen, and hygiene regulations.
- Training and coaching team members to develop their skills and confidence.
- Assisting with cash handling, openingand closing procedures, and daily operational checks.
- Working closely with the Catering Management team to achieve service and financial targets.
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisory experience within catering, hospitality, cafés, restaurants, hotels, or events.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene, allergen management, and Health & Safety practices.
- Strong organisational andproblem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work across different catering outlets and support occasional evening or weekend events.
