We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer/Deputy Manager to join the Department of Engineering Science.
About The Role
The role provides both a practical technician function and that of Deputy Maintenance Team Manager, reporting to the Maintenance Team Manager. When deputising for the maintenance team manager you will:
- Take the lead role with no immediate supervision for all reactive and planned preventive maintenance and project work within the Department of Engineering Science in the Maintenance Manager’s absence.
- Supervise technical personnel and contractors to ensure a safe, efficient, productive work environment.
- Be responsible for maintenance work within the Keble Triangle buildings along with both planned and reactive maintenance work.
About You
You should hold a relevant formal qualification, such as HNC, BTEC, NVQ level three, City and Guilds award or equivalent in an appropriate mechanical or electrical discipline.
