About the Role

The role of Delivery Manager is to ensure the successful delivery of products and services, either through defined project work or as part of a continuous improvement approach. The University of Oxford is a federated organisation with core IT and Digital services delivered by IT Services alongside departmental, college and divisional IT functions. The Delivery Manager (Infrastructure) will play a key role in the co-ordination of resource and technology to leverage investment in Microsoft technologies in the university’s federated model. This is a varied and collaborative role where you’ll be responsible for planning and tracking delivery, managing risks and dependencies, monitoring budgets and resources, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement. You’ll champion agile ways of working, coach teams to deliver effectively, and build strong relationships across the University to ensure services are delivered efficiently, securely and with a strong focus on user needs.

About You

You’ll be an experienced Delivery Manager, Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master with a strong track record of delivering technology or digital infrastructure initiatives in complex organisations. You understand how to balance competing priorities, adapt delivery approaches to suit different environments, and bring together technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. Comfortable working in agile environments, you’re passionate about continuous improvement and enjoy helping teams develop new ways of working. You are an excellent communicator with strong planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills. You’ll have experience managing delivery plans, risks and resources, along with the confidence to coach teams, influence senior stakeholders and work collaboratively across organisational boundaries. Experience with Microsoft technologies, Azure DevOps, IT service management or higher education would be an advantage, but above all we’re looking for someone who thrives on delivering meaningful change through collaboration, innovation and a user-centred approach.
