Applications are invited for a Clinical Data Mapping Manager, to work with The Clinical Informatics and Health Outcomes Research Group (CIHORG) at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, a multi-partner, national and international initiative. The successful applicant will be developing systems to increase the availability and accessibility of RCGP-RSC data and phenotypes, including the publication of phenotypes on a public website.
Applications are invited from candidates with experience of dealing with the coding systems and data used in computerised medical records. The focus of our work is primary care data using SNOMED CT, but we also work with hospital, cancer and other data sources.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working on the mapping of datasets to standard data models, principally The Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model (CDM) from Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI).
- Liaising, communicating and building relationships with senior colleagues, including senior staff in the University, national and international collaborators, the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory bodies and NHS trusts.
- Attending key department meetings and representing the research team at external meetings.
You will be based in the Gibson Building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work. There is a degree of flexibility regarding patterns of work which can be discussed and agreed with the line manager. We are supportive of hybrid working; however, the post-holder is expected to work in the office regularly and attend in-person events and meetings where possible.
