Overview
We have a new and exciting opportunity to join the Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx) as an Apprentice Business Administrator. AfOx is a cross‑divisional platform bringing together all aspects of the University of Oxford’s collaborations with African institutions and researchers. In this 2‑year role you will support the operational activities that underpin the delivery of the AfOx programmes.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Operations Team across day‑to‑day activities.
- Assist with the financial and logistical delivery of the AfOx programme, including travel arrangements and expense processing.
- Carry out financial administration and procurement processes.
Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Excellent team‑working skills and communication skills.
- Basic numeracy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Interest in Africa and in financial administration.
Benefits
- Salary: Apprentice Grade 1 – £26,686 per annum (pro rata).
- Pensionable Oxford University Weighting – £1,730 per year (pro rata).
