Development & Alumni Engagement builds lasting relationships with Oxford’s alumni, supporters and donors. Working in partnership with colleagues across the University, we encourage alumni engagement and secure philanthropic support for Oxford’s teaching, research and academic priorities.

About the Role
As an Alumni Engagement Executive, you will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to develop practical ways for departments to build stronger relationships with their alumni. You will understand their priorities, identify opportunities for alumni involvement and help turn ideas into effective engagement activities.
A key part of the role is building relationships and influencing stakeholders across different teams and departments. You will encourage colleagues to share good practice, recognise and track alumni engagement, and help create a positive and consistent experience for Oxford alumni.
This new role offers an exciting opportunity to influence how we work with departments and services, including the Careers Service and sports clubs, to strengthen alumni engagement across Oxford.
About You
We welcome applications from candidates with experience in alumni or student engagement, student ambassador programmes, stakeholder engagement, membership, community engagement or other related environments.
You will have:
- Experience building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Extensive experience delivering engagement activities that support wider organisational goals.
- The ability to influence and motivate colleagues without direct management responsibility.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively and independently, managing priorities and taking initiative.
- Confidence using digital tools and systems, including relationship management (CRM) systems.
