The Faculty of Law is looking to recruit an Access and Admissions Administrator to support the delivery of the faculty’s admissions and access activities and the annual undergraduate admissions exercise. They will report to the Senior Access and Outreach Officer and work closely with the Admissions and Outreach Officer. Flexible working hours are required, with any overtime worked may be taken back in lieu as soon as possible after it is worked.

Responsibilities

  • Support administrative processes relating to the Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT) results.
  • Coordinate and deliver events, enlist the involvement of academics, and stay up to date with outreach developments within the higher education sector.
  • Assist the Admissions & Outreach Officer with queries from prospective applicants, parents, and schools, especially when the Admissions & Outreach Officer is not available.
  • Effectively manage budgets for events and answer questions about expenditure, periodically reporting to the Finance Manager on progress against budget.
  • Maintain a practical and resourceful approach even under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Strong event coordination experience, including online events and use of virtual learning platforms.
  • Good understanding of how to communicate with target audiences.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, with a co‑operative attitude and a willingness to work overtime on some occasions.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Desirable experience working within Further Education or Higher Education.
