Permanent, full time (36.5 hours per week) Saïd Business School is seeking an organised and proactive Academic Planning Assistant to support our academic planning processes across our degree and accredited programmes. Reporting to the Academic Planning Manager, this role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to advance their career in higher education. Working closely with academics, Student and Programme Services staff and central University teams, the postholder will play a key role in ensuring the smooth administration of faculty planning, assessment coordination and regulatory processes.

As part of the Faculty Services team, you will need strong teamwork skills alongside the ability to work unsupervised on assigned tasks.

Key responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update teaching plan databases, tracking teaching and supervision allocations.
  • Assist in the allocation of teaching points and payments according to the Teaching Points Tariff.
  • Coordinate teaching and assessment payments for external lecturers, examiners and teaching assistants.
  • Manage contracts and engagement letters in collaboration with HR and Procurement teams.
  • Communicate policy and regulatory matters effectively to academic and administrative staff.

You will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage a busy workload under tight deadlines. You must also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be proficient in collaborating with colleagues at all levels.
