The Role

As a Plumber at Ragdale Hall, your main focus will be the maintenance, repair and improvement of plumbing and heating systems across our award‑winning spa and hotel facilities. You will also have the chance to become involved with our wider plant and pool systems, providing valuable exposure and ongoing development in these specialist areas. You’ll assist with planned refurbishments and upgrades, while responding efficiently to reactive maintenance issues to support the smooth running of the Hall. This position suits someone who works to high standards, approaches tasks safely and methodically, and enjoys being part of a collaborative maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining plumbing, heating and pool systems across the site
  • Working with plant and associated equipment
  • Supporting planned refurbishment and improvement projects
  • Responding to reactive maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing and Heating
  • Additional trade experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • A flexible, proactive and safety‑conscious approach

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience maintaining plant systems on a large or complex site

Hours of Work

39 hours per week, worked between 7:00am and 6:00pm, 1 in 5 weekends as part of the normal working pattern. Competitive, dependent on experience. Free meals on duty. Free transport from Melton Mowbray and Asfordby, plus free onsite parking. Competitive salary, and a generous tips scheme worth up to £1400 per year.
