As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across all areas of restaurant operations while developing your leadership skills in a supportive and high‑quality environment.
Main Duties
- Support recruitment, training, and development of the team, including trial shifts and appraisals.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members, setting a positive example at all times.
- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent food and drink service.
- Be present during service, leading in the absence of the Dining Room Manager.
- Handle guest enquiries and complaints efficiently, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and support cost control and revenue targets.
- Ensure accurate use of EPOS systems, cash handling, and administrative tasks.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, hygiene, and allergen compliance.
- Complete daily checks, manage staff absences, and support performance management.
- Communicate effectively across departments and contribute to service improvements.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within hospitality.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
