The predicted salary is between 33865 - 41391 Β£ per year.

You will undertake research and teaching in the Department of Communication and Media, with a focus on media and culture.

The role is intended to enhance and develop approaches to culture and media in our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and to develop research projects and outputs in these areas.

This is a fixed term position (5 years) to cover for a colleague working on a large European research grant.

You will have research and teaching expertise in visual culture, cultural history and cultural approaches to media and everyday life.

The post will strengthen the Department's teaching in these areas by expanding existing modules and introducing new approaches which complement our curriculum and align with the interdisciplinary research undertaken in the Department and in the Centre for Culture and Everyday Life (CCEL).

We are looking to appoint the most appropriate candidate within the Grade 7/8 range, according to experience, ability, and interview performance.

Candidates in their first academic post will be subject to a probationary period of 3 years.
