The University of Liverpool is seeking an Academic Quality Support Officer to join our Academic Quality and Standards Division within the Directorate of Student Experience and Enhancement. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting quality assurance and enhancement activities across our institution.

You will be a full and active member of the AQSD team, working across undergraduate (UG), postgraduate taught (PGT), and postgraduate research (PGR) provision to support institutional governance, partnership activity, and the continuous enhancement of the student experience. You will provide expert advice and guidance on quality assurance processes, policies, and regulations, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements while supporting delivery of the University’s Strategic Plan.

This role will take a lead on the Postgraduate Research (PGR) portfolio, focusing on supporting high-quality PGR provision, overseeing annual monitoring and periodic review processes, maintaining the PGR Code of Practice, and managing quality assurance for collaborative provision, including split-site and off-site supervision arrangements.

What we’re looking for:

  • You will have experience of working in the education sector, ideally within higher education, and a strong understanding of quality assurance and enhancement processes.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload are essential.
  • A degree-level qualification (or equivalent professional experience) is required.

The role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across the University and with international partners, supporting innovative curriculum development, contributing to institutional governance through committee secretariat work, and enhancing the student experience.
