Relief Role | Home-Based with Occasional Travel

At Thera, people with a lived experience of learning disability lead the way in shaping what good support looks like.
As a Quality & Involvement Supporter, you'll work in partnership with an Expert by Experience (someone with a learning disability). Together, you'll gather real feedback from people receiving support and help ensure that care is person-centred, meaningful, and respectful. This is a relief role with no guaranteed monthly hours, making it ideal if you're looking for purposeful, flexible work alongside other commitments. The role is primarily home-based, with only occasional, planned travel when required.
What You'll Do
- Support Experts by Experience to carry out quality checks and assessments
- Speak one-to-one with people who receive support, and with those who know them well
- Occasionally observe support in people's homes
- Attend virtual meetings, training, and occasional in-person meetings or events
- Record information accurately and support the writing of quality reports using technology
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and work alongside Quality & Involvement Facilitators to deliver your work plan
What We're Looking For
- Experience or understanding of good-quality, person-centred support
- Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive approaches
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Teams
- A genuine commitment to the rights and dignity of people with learning disabilities
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel as required; all associated travel time and mileage expenses are reimbursed.
