Location: The Halo Building, 1 Mabledon Place, London, WC1H 9AX

Contract / Hours: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary Range: Up to £33,818 per annum DOE inclusive of regional allowance

About the role: An opportunity has arisen for Laboratory Support – Biobank/GLP Track Technician in Central London. The role involves supporting HSL (Analytics) LLP in sample storage, archive and retrieval within the Halo Biobank, maintaining and developing HSL’s mechanical and analytical systems, and handling document management, regular stock takes and health and safety. This highly technical position offers hands-on experience with mechanical and analytical systems central to laboratory operations and is ideal for candidates interested in progressing toward engineering roles within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to HSL (Analytics) LLP in sample storage, archive and retrieval within the Halo Biobank.
  • Maintain and develop HSL’s mechanical and analytical systems, focusing on the GLP system and other analytical/mechanical platforms as required.
  • Handle document management, conduct regular stock takes, and maintain health and safety standards.
  • Operate on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern with flexibility to cover day and/or night shifts as required.
