About the role: We’re recruiting for a new Content & Channels Manager at Sonic Healthcare UK. The role has a broad remit across our internal and external channels — from developing content for our intranet, newsletters, digital screens and leadership communications, to supporting LinkedIn and other external content. It’s hands‑on, with responsibility for both creating and designing content. The Content and Channels Manager will lead the development of engaging content across Sonic Healthcare UK’s internal and external channels. The role will manage and strengthen our channel mix, including the intranet, internets, employee communications, LinkedIn and channels designed to reach non-desk-based colleagues. It will also work closely with the Commercial team to develop content for client campaigns, pitches and new business opportunities, while identifying external events and platforms that can build Sonic Healthcare UK’s profile. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can identify strong stories, write compelling copy and design and deliver high-quality content themselves across a range of formats.
Key responsibilities:
- Content and storytelling
- Develop and manage an integrated content plan across internal, external and commercial communications.
- Identify and develop stories that showcase our people, expertise, services and contribution to healthcare.
- Translate complex scientific, clinical and business information into clear and engaging content.
- Write, edit and design content including articles, presentations, social media posts, case studies, newsletters, campaign materials and digital assets.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, accessibility, tone of voice and brand consistency.
- Internal channels
- Lead the ongoing development and management of the Sonic Healthcare UK intranet.
- Strengthen the internal channel mix and ensure ways to reach non-desk-based colleagues, including couriers and laboratory teams.
- Manage content across newsletters, line manager communications, digital screens, noticeboards and future mobile channels.
- Use data and employee feedback to improve reach, engagement and effectiveness.
- External and commercial communications
- Manage Sonic Healthcare UK’s LinkedIn presence and external content calendar.
- Partner with the Commercial team on client campaigns, pitches, presentations, case studies and other business development materials.
- Develop content that supports relationships with existing clients and helps attract new clients.
- Identify relevant events, awards, partnerships and speaking opportunities that can strengthen our external presence.
