A vacancy has arisen for a part time, HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist in our Molecular Virology Department based in Central London.
Responsibilities
- Helping with the daily running of the laboratory section to which you have been assigned within the Department of Virology.
- Assisting in the performance of the routine diagnostic analytical work of the department as directed to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.
- Maintaining the highest professional and technical standards in the department.
- Leading, motivating, supervising and training staff of lower grades.
- Processing and testing patient specimens in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures using manual, semi and fully automated laboratory methods.
Qualifications / Requirements
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- DBS check (standard) required as part of on-boarding.
- Experience in molecular virology laboratory work and routine diagnostic analytical procedures.
