At Thera East Midlands, we believe people with a learning disability should be leaders in society. We are looking for a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams, to deliver person-centered support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.
As a Deputy Support Manager you will:
- Mentor teams, coach support staff and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure that practice leadership is developed, recognised and reflected in all we do.
- Support people to design their support plans.
- Assist with rota management and help maintain records.
- Address concerns, conduct audits, and deputise for the Support Manager when needed.
At all times aim to empower individuals, promote inclusion, rights & independence, whilst adhering to policies and acting as an ambassador for the company.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland).
- Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Leadership or coaching experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
- Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations.
