My client is an iconic hospitality group who have established a fantastic reputation across their luxurious portfolio. They are seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their team. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing all food & non-food categories, implementing a successful procurement strategy, managing supplier relationships and being cost effective for the business. This is the perfect role for a high performing Purchasing Manager who is looking to join a reputable business who can offer genuine progression opportunities. This role is site based 5 days a week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with the company’s operational goals.
  • Source, negotiate, and establish relationships with suppliers to secure the best quality products at competitive prices.
  • Oversee the procurement of food, beverages, equipment, and operational supplies for multiple properties.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with chefs, managers, and department heads to forecast needs and manage inventory levels.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in procurement processes.
  • Manage contracts, agreements, and procurement records with accuracy and timeliness.

The Ideal Purchasing Manager Candidate:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years purchasing experience working for a restaurant or hospitality business.
  • Have strong multi-category knowledge.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and supply chain management systems; experience using Oracle is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and trends in the hospitality sector is a plus.
  • Must be happy to be site based 5 days a week.
