HVAC Technician

Permanent | Full-Time (42.5 hrs/week, 8am-5pm) | £46,994 p.a. + £2k Joining Bonus

About the Role

We're recruiting an experienced HVAC Technician to support a major national retail client across the M65 corridor and Chorley area. You'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of HVAC and gas-fired systems across multiple sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable store environments.

This is a field-based role with daily travel between sites. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out PPM schedules and complete all associated paperwork to procedure
  • Respond promptly to helpdesk call-outs, diagnose faults, and complete repairs within agreed SLAs
  • Service and maintain HVAC assets including: Air handling units (gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils), Heat pump systems and single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers
  • Identify non-repairable plant faults and recommend replacements to the Line Manager
  • Work in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies at all times

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Recognised Commercial Gas qualifications - minimum of 4 from: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
  • F-Gas (2079) certified
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel daily across the patch
  • Proven experience working on HVAC/gas systems in a multi-site environment

Desirable

  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
