We’re recruiting a Sous Chef to join a prestigious private members’ club within an incredible, high-profile venue in London, working directly alongside a celebrated Head Chef. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef to step into a key leadership position, playing a central role in shaping, developing and elevating the kitchen within a quality-led members’ club operation in London.
The offer:
- £45,000 per annum (some flexibility for the right person).
- 40 hours per week.
- Paid overtime or time back in lieu (your choice).
- 5 out of 7-day operation.
- Extremely positive working environment.
The operation & food:
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
- Seasonal British with a Scandinavian influence.
- Light-touch cooking, fish-led and plant-forward menus.
- Some crowd-pleasing club classics with refinement.
- High-End hospitality offering of up to 400 covers.
- Semi open kitchen with visibility of the pass only.
The role:
- Act as the true Number 2, supporting the Head Chef in all areas of the kitchen.
- Run the kitchen and lead the team in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Take ownership, set standards and hold the team accountable.
- Support menu development and evolution of the food offer.
- Ensure food quality, consistency and service standards are delivered at all times.
The Sous Chef:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a quality-driven environment.
- Confident leading teams and running service independently.
- Reliable, consistent and committed to long-term roles.
